prep day

Today was spent preparing for our epic adventure.  For the next four days we'll be backpacking the San Juan hut system; hiking about 8 miles a day from rustic hut to hut through the Sneffels range.  I've grown up in and under these mountains and I've had this adventure on my list for a long time.  I'm so excited it's finally happening!  I'm also strangely excited to live out of a backpack again.  It's been a while.

i've really tried to enjoy using an e-reader.  i have tried and tried and sometimes almost liked it.  but fuck it.

i love books.

i love this gypsy life of mine but god damn do i get sick of packing.
